ATTENTION POEPLE IN AND AROUND CHICAGO

Fri Jun 26, 2009, 11:35 AM
Okay guys, here's the deal. I recently ordered three tickets to the August 8th showing of Spring Awakening at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago. The thing is, I accidentally ordered two tickets for the 2:00 showing and one for the 8:00 showing, and if my friends and I were to go, it would mean having four hours of nothing to do, and almost certainly sleeping on the car, a process neither exciting nor particularly legal.

ALL OF THE TICKETS ARE FOR ON-STAGE SEATING. Yes, ON-STAGE. The 2:00 seats are row AA, seats 4 and 6, and the 8:00 seat is row CC, seat 13. The tickets are $30.50 apiece, which is amazing for on-stage. I bought them just a few minutes after they went on sale. The tickets for this show are sold out now.

In case you're unfamiliar with the show, it's not like a normal musical - the music is hard, like stuff you could hear on the radio. The songs are introspective, while the characters are thinking to themselves. There's tons of energy, and it's absolutely infectious. I had to stop myself from singing along several times. The show is approximately two hours and 15 minutes long. Here are some links to tell you what you'll need to know about it, and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have:
